Alan Bonomi
Alan Bonomi is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Robotics, Systems, and Control at ETH Zurich and received his Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 2024. His research interests lie at the intersection of control, optimization, and machine learning. Prior to joining MIT, he conducted research at the Institute for Dynamic Systems and Control at ETH Zurich within Prof. Raffaello D’Andrea’s group, under the supervision of Antonio Terpin, where he worked on developing a real-time state estimation pipeline for active flow control applications. At the Zardini Lab at MIT, his research focuses on sensitivity analysis for differentiable co-design problems, combining tools from optimization and variational analysis.
